Our active alignment module offers a wide range of capabilities, all with the end goal of producing the highest quality optics, but to each customer’s specifications. In five or six degrees of freedom, the optical alignment of components is calibrated to customer needs, and can be done using either high accuracy or low accuracy methods.
Kasalis has developed sophisticated alignment algorithms that use image data acquired by the image sensor of the optics being assembled as feedback for determining the optimal lens position for highest performance. The use of active alignment for positioning the lens relative to its sensor results in significantly more accurate placement than typical component and optical tolerances would allow.
